McQuaig & Welk delivers a seamless sale of the business for Miniblinds & More

Richard Ehrenberg and his wife officially retired as of May 31st, 2007 – for the 2nd time.  Rick’s first career started in 1952 with JC Penney.  Richard worked his way through the ranks, eventually managing his own stores in South Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.  After 31 years, he retired and the Ehrenberg’s found their way to Wenatchee.  In 1989, they opened Miniblinds & More.  “My wife and I really enjoyed it.  We never felt like it was a job.  It was always a pleasure going to work.”  After 18 years of serving their customers they decided it was time to slow down.  A casual conversation with a sales rep eventually led to an offer to buy the business.  The negotiation began and after three other parties were interested in purchasing the business, Richard and Shirley settled on the original offer and sold to the Bobysuds.  The couple, who already has experience in the Miniblinds industry, took over the business on June 1st.  The Ehrenberg’s will stay on as mentors.  “We know the Bobysuds will do a great job and take Miniblinds & More to great heights.”
