Bart grew up on a diversified farm near Quincy, Washington and had experience with a broad range of crops and agriculture products before attending college at Washington State University. Majoring in agribusiness, he spent summers managing the family operation. He earned a Master’s Degree in agricultural economics and worked as a statistician for the Washington State division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. After leaving the USDA, Bart was employed as an Agriculture Economist for LeMaster and Daniels, a regional accounting firm providing services focused on financial/economic analysis, agriculture marketing, hedging, cost of production, and agriculture research. Then Bart was presented with an opportunity to work at US Bank where he ended up managing the commercial banking division in Moses Lake, WA.

Prior to joining McQuaig & Welk, Bart worked as General Manager for Irrigation Specialists in Pasco, Washington, where he oversaw a large wholesale/retail irrigation business with three store locations. The great Wenatchee area drew Bart back and he joined the McQuaig & Welk team in October, 2007.

Bart is involved with numerous agricultural and professional organizations. Currently, he is the President for the Washington State Potato Foundation. He is also a member and Former Vice Chair of the School of Economic Sciences Development Committee at WSU.

Bart enjoys outdoors activities including camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and is an avid skier. Family is a big focus for Bart and he enjoys spending time with his wife, Shawna, and their two children, Brennan and Ella.
